Lollipop, lollipop for Paper Players 296

Normally I only blog once a day, but today calls for a second post.  After posting this morning, Andrea Merlin, a fellow member of inKing Royalty said my balloon reminded her of the old fashioned lollipops she had as a kid.  Well, that comment has been in my head all day and I finally gave in and made a second card.  In case you missed this morning's post, you can see it here.

Here is my lollipop card:

I think it turned out pretty cute and it still fits pretty well with the PP296 Challenge.  Here's a picture of the challenge banner:

The candy part of the lolly is from the Playful Palette DSP Stack.  I chose the same piece as this morning to get the optimum circular swirls.  After cutting it with the Balloon Framelets Die, I stuck it to a plastic straw that I cut down to size.

The bag protecting the lolly is a small cellophane bag that I cut down even more.  I gathered it around the straw and tied it with a piece of baker's twine.  I then added a Peekaboo Peach bow.

My sentiment is from the Me=Grateful Stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment in Emerald Envy and then cut it out with a Tags and Labels Framelets Die.

I mounted my lollipop on a piece of Peekaboo Peach piece of cardstock that I had embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  Then I mounted the finished piece on my Peekaboo Peach card base.

Glad I got that card idea out of my head!  Now if I could only forget the song!  "Lollipop, lollipop! Oh lolly lollipop......."

Happy stampin',
Robin
