Batty for You!

Hello!

I have the cutest Halloween card to share with you.  I made it using the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set.  It is super easy to put together too!  Here it is:

Isn't it adorable?  Here's the scoop:

  • The card base is Gorgeous Grape.  I LOVE anytime I can use purple, and this purple is luscious.
  • The 4 x 5 in piece of Gorgeous Grape is stamped with the Marbled Background Stamp with Gorgeous Grape Ink.
  • The bat paper is 1 1/4 in x 4 in.  It is from the Toil and Trouble DSP Paper Pack.
  • The bat paper is adhered to a piece of Basic Black that measures 1 1/2 in. x 4 in.
  • The elephant is from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set.  I stamped him with Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock.  I colored him with the Light Smokey Slate and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends.  I then fussy cut him out.
  • The moon is a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock die cut with one of the Layering Circle Dies.
  • I glued the moon to the back of the elephant and adhered them to my card using Dimensionals.
  • The sentiment is also from the Trick or Tweet Stamp Set.  It's stamped on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch.  I adhered it to the card front using Mini-Dimensionals.
I hope you have fun with this sweet card!

Until next time,
Robin

Birthday Card for Fab Friday 147

    Hello,

My card today is for my good friend, Donna whose birthday is tomorrow.  I had a piece of paper left from my Share What You Love Designer Series Paper and I decided to use it today.  It made the perfect banner for the Fab Friday 147 Sketch Challenge.

    Here's my card

Here's the Fab Friday Banner that was my inspiration.

Donna will love the embossed card front and the pretty die cut that holds the sentiment.  I hope you do too!

    5th Year Anniversary Reflection

    Hello,
Today is an exciting day for me! It's my 5th anniversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! Stampin' Up! treats their demos like family. The products are so easy to sell because they are of the highest quality- and the best part? I get to purchase them for myself at a discount!

Because of being a demonstrator, I have made wonderful friendships with people all over the world. I have the opportunity to see many of them at OnStage events.

But the best part of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is sharing my love of paper crafting with others. I have grown in confidence as I share more and more.
    Best decision EVER!

    InKing Royalty September Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's September Blog Hop! This year's Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs - this month's song is "September Morn," a      Neil Diamond classic from the late '70's. As you can guess, our Blog Hop today is filled with projects that are inspired by the beauty of Autumn - September is when the air becomes crisp and the leaves start to fall. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Fall makes me think of the farm where I grew up in Iowa.  Fall meant riding in the combine with my Dad.  It also meant Mom's cousins would come to pheasant hunt. If I was lucky, the guys would give my sister and I a pheasant feather each.  I also liked looking for the beautiful birds when I played in the fields and pastures.  Such freedom!

My card today uses two of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog, Pleasant Pheasants and Country Home.  My sentiments are from Country Home and the images are from Pleasant Pheasants.  Here's my card.

    Here's the scoop:

    • I used the  Gamboge and Yellow Brusho for my background.
    • I embossed the pheasants with copper embossing powder.
    • I stamped the inside and outside sentiments with Soft Suede.  The pretty leaves on the inside were stamped in Cajun Craze.
    • To add more shine to my card front, I tied a piece of the 1/4 in. Copper Trim around the top two layers.  I love this trim so much!  I've gone through 2 rolls of it so far!
Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hopCandy Ford at Stamp Candy.  There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!

    Enjoy the Hop!

    Country Home Sympathy

    Hello!

Some very dear friends lost a family member recently.  They are down-to-earth folks so I thought they might like a card made from the Country Lane Suite.  This beautiful suite is in the new Holiday Catalog which goes live September 5th!

    Here's my card:

    Tips and Tricks:

    • My card base is Early Espresso with the fold at the top.
    • I love the pretty Mint Macaron DSP, don't you?
    • I stamped my pitcher and flowers in Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock because I used the Stampin' Blends to add some color.
    • The pitcher is colored in Light Smokey Slate.                                            The leaves are colored with Dark Mint Macaron.                                        The mushroomy things are colored in  Dark Petal Pink.  (If you know what those are, please let me know!)                                                                The berries are colored in Dark Shaded Spruce.
    • I added a Shimmery Shaded Spruce bow to finish it off.
Have fun shopping from the new catalog!  If you do not have a demonstrator, I would love to be yours!

Serene Garden for Just Add Ink #411

    Hello!

I've had so much fun playing with the Serene Garden Bundle!  I used this gorgeous bundle to play along with the Just Add Ink #411 Challenge.  Here's my card:

And here is the challenge banner:

    Here's the scoop:

    • My card base is made from Tranquil Tide Cardstock
    • The DSP is from the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper
    • The Serene Garden Bundle is on Page 166 of the Annual Catalog.
    • I used the dove and the leaf stamps from the set.  I stamped the leaf 4 times.  I then die cut them and adhered them to a piece of Tranquil Tide Cardstock.  One leaf stamp turned into a pretty flower!
    • The sentiment and frame are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.
    • I added a rhinestone to the center of the flower and gave the dove a touch of Clear Wink of Stella for some shine.
I love this card so much!  I'm going to try it with different color combos.  I hope you like it too!

    Happy stampin',

Serene Garden for InKing Royalty August Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's August Blog Hop! This year's Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs - this month's song is "Dog Days Are Over." While we still feel the heat from a long, hot summer, August is a perfect time of year to start planning our Fall-themed cards. The projects in our hop will showcase Autumn, back-to-school and warm colors - you might even see a dog or two! We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

This time of year has me browsing clothing stores to see what colors are featured in clothing for the Fall.  I saw a lot of wines so I decided to feature one of our new colors, Merry Merlot, on my card for today.  I paired this new color with one of our returning colors, Mossy Meadow.  Here's my card:

    This and That:

    • I am in LOVE with the Serene Garden Bundle!  The images are crisp and remind me of the Art Deco style.
    • I stamped the large corner stamp on a Very Vanilla panel using Memento ink.  I then colored it using the Dark and Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends.
    • I used one of the dies to cut out the foliage so that some of the Mossy Meadow panel behind shows through.  This die is REALLY cool!
    • I stamped the butterfly and flower images in Memento, colored them with my Merry Merlot Stampin' Write Marker, and die cut them.  I popped them onto my card front with Dimensionals.
    • The Merry Merlot tag is cut using the a framelet from the Sweet Cake Framelits.
    • The sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set.
    • Isn't that ribbon FABULOUS?!  It's the 5/8 inch Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in Very Vanilla.
    • After my card was completed, I adhered it to its Merry Merlot card base.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie.  There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!

Lilypad Lake for PP405 and GDP151

    Hello!

It's been a long time since I've played with a challenge!  I had great fun and even managed a 2-fer!  Two challenges with one card!  I used the Lily Pad Lake Bundle out of the Annual Catalog for my card.

And here are the challenge banners:

    This and That:

    • I created a Bokeh background using the colors from the Paper Players Challenge and White Craft Ink.
    • I mounted the background onto Mango Melody Cardstock.
    • I decided to use Night of Navy silhouettes for my images and die cut them using the Lakeside Framelets Dies.
    • I stamped the sentiment directly onto the background.  I stamped in VersaMark followed by Night of Navy and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

I'm hoping to make a couple more trips to the shore before school starts on August 27th.  Hope you are enjoying the last bit of summer too!

    Happy stampin',
    Robin

    Inking Royalty June Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's June Blog Hop! This year's Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs - this month's song is "Here Comes the Sun." As you can guess, our Blog Hop today is filled with projects that are inspired by the joy of the summer sun. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I'm a teacher and now that I'm done with school for awhile, I like to spend my time soaking up the sun near water.  My card today features the bundle "Lilypad Lake" found on page 133 of the new annual catalog.  My mind immediately went to doing a center step card and I hope you enjoy the finished product.

I colored the stamped images using my Watercolor Pencils and an Aquapainter.  I had forgotten about these pencils and it was fun working with them again.  All of the images including the grass and ocean waves were cut using the die cuts from the bundle.  The sentiment, "Be calm and leave it to God", is two lines.  I stamped the two lines separately and punched them out with the Classic Label Punch.  Below is a close up of the steps of my card.

That's all for today!   I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Candy Ford at Stamp Candy  There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!

    Happy Stampin'!

    InKing Royalty April Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's April Blog Hop! This year's hops are themed around some of our favorite songs. Today's hop pulls inspiration from B.B. King's song "Let the Good Times Roll." How fun is that?! We've created projects that either feature images with wheels (cards, wagons, bikes) or celebrate good times. We are excited to share our projects with you. After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

My card for today features one of the new In-Colors, Blueberry Bushel.  This color is a beautiful saturated blue that worked well for watercoloring.  Take a look....

My card base is Blueberry Bushel and is paired with Soft Suede embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.  The old-fashioned truck is from the Country Livin' Stamp Set.  I'm so glad this set returns in the new catalog!

The body of the truck is watercolored with an Aquapainter using Blueberry Bushel Ink.  The rest of the image was watercolored with Smoky Slate, Soft Suede, and Old Olive inks.  The sentiment was stamped using a new stamp set I received at Onstage called Pick a Pennant.

I finished my card using a piece of Burlap Ribbon.  I pulled a few strands from the edge to give it the loops.  I attached the ribbon at the top with Tear and Tape.  I added one of the True Gentleman Buttons.  I did not try to thread the strands of ribbon through the button!  Instead, I cheated by tying the bow and sticking it to the button with a glue dot.

I hope you liked my card!  Thank you for stopping by today.  Please hop along to the next stop on the blog hopShawn de Oliveira at Shawn Stamps.  There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!

    InKing Royalty March Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's March Blog Hop! Today's hop is filled to the brim with projects that celebrate Spring and Summer. With inspiration from Katrina & the Waves' song "Walking on Sunshine," we've created projects that share the joy and excitement that accompany warmer weather. We are excited to share our projects with you. After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Today I'm sharing a card I made using Cozy Cottage, a Host Set from the Occasions Catalog.

I loved using happy, Spring colors to make my card!  The pretty yellow card base is from the Sale-A-Bration item Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes.

My cottage image is colored with Stampin' Blends.  I was able to create many shades of green with just two markers!

I stamped the sentiment twice so that I could frame my cottage with it and popped it up with Dimensionals.

To finish my card, I stamped the flower bunch directly on the card and used the Blends to color it as well.  (Yes, the coloring did bleed through to the other side.  I just added some Tutti-Frutti DSP on the inside to cover it up.)

I hope my card made you think of Spring!  Thank you for stopping by.  Please hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Nina King at InkPaperSequins.  There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!

    Happy Spring!
    Robin
